We have West Michigan kayaking trips for both the beginner paddler to experienced sea kayakers. Choose from one of our guided kayak trips below then check the 2010 Trips Schedule for dates and times. You may reserve a place in our programs by calling Jon at 616-460-0540 then sending us a completed Registration Form along with payment by mail.
Friday Night Paddles
This is a great beginner's trip or for anyone
looking to
relax in their kayak after a hard day at work. Enjoy a 3 hour
tour on the Grand River from
Lowell to Ada. We provide the shuttle, a little instruction,
and equipment if necessary. This stretch of water is lightly
developed, with frequent wildlife sightings, and easy
paddling.
Cost: $40 individual with our gear/$70 for two with our gear/$25 with your own gear

A
Day on the Bay
A nugget from Northern Michigan.
Experience beautiful Suttons Bay and West Grand Traverse Bay in a whole
new way. The day will start with a short instructional
session followed by a nine mile tour from the base of Suttons Bay to
Lee Point on West Bay. We will stop for a catered lunch at a
private residence at the halfway point of the tour. Some
prior kayak touring experience and a moderate level of fitness
are
required for this trip.
Lunch, post tour beverages and local shutlle provided.
Transportation to Suttons Bay not provided
Cost: $100 pp (Minimum of 2 persons, Maximum of 6)
Best of Benzie County
This 2 day trip offers a
sampling of all Michigan offers a kayaker. We will
arrive at a campground on the Upper Bestie and take a short
paddle down the river. Later that evening we will explore a
Michigan flood plain where encounters with various wetland wildlife are
possible. Day two takes us to the shoreline of Lake Michigan
where exploration, skills work, or just plain old relaxing are
your options. Transportation to and from Grand Rapids
provided.
Cost: $250 per person (Minimum of 2 persons, Maximum of 4)
Master the Manistee
Take a three-day kayak trip down West Michigan's premier riverway, the Manistee, and experience the transition from forested uplands to shoreline dunes. We'll paddle for 3-4 hours on day one, a full 8 hours on day two and another short 3-4 hour paddle on the third day, as we finish by paddling through downtown Manistee. Evenings will be spent at backcountry campsites but camping skills are not a requirement. Just the desire to get away from it all!
Cost: $295 pp (Minimum of 2 persons, Maximum of 4)
