Introduction to Kayaking
Come see the possibilities the sport of kayaking has to offer. In
this 3-hour class you’ll be introduced to the basic paddling and
safety skills used in kayak paddle sports. Gain a better
understanding of the differences in kayaks, equipment, and techniques
through a blend of hands-on training and instructor
demonstrations. Taught in a quiet inland setting.

Basics of Coastal Kayaking
The most fun and best value for the aspiring kayaker. This
class involves the students fully in learning the techniques and
skills to paddle longer, farther, and safer on any type of water.
Taught in two 3-hour sessions for a 6-7 hour course that really
opens the door to the wonders of kayaking. Taught in a controlled
inland setting.

This class is designed to get the experienced inland paddler out on the big lake in a safe and fun environment. Often used as a refresher for those whose skills are a bit rusty or a follow-up course for those newer paddlers who have completed more basic classes. Open water rescues, towing, navigation, and real life scenarios all help to instill the confidence needed to be comfortable in open water kayaking. Taught on a larger inland lake with direct access to Lake Michigan
Costs: $130 with our gear /$100 with your gear
Advanced Strokes & Rescues
A 3 hour course designed to take you out of your comfort zone, explore the interaction between boat, paddle and paddler, and add some new "tools" to your boat handling kit. This class is for paddlers using day touring or touring kayaks who have had some prior instruction.
Cost: $ 55 with your gear
Fundamentals of Kayaking
Experience the SPIRIT of kayaking with other enthusiastic paddlers in a
full two-day course designed to reinforce basic skills and develop more
advanded skills. Apart from skill training we'll explore group
dynamics, weather, kayak camping, and other aspects of the
sport in this up-north weekend program. Taught on
larger in-land lakes and Lake Michigan if weather permits.
Costs: $195 with our gear /$150 with your gear (camping/lodging fees not included)

Adventure’s Kid’s Camp
Looking for a way to get your kids outside this summer? Have them
attend our multi-day kayaking program! We’ll meet for three
mornings in a row and teach your children all the really fun things
they can do in a kayak. Day one starts with learning about the
boats and skills. Day two is all about playing in our kayaks,
with relays, skill tests, and lots of ways to get wet. The third day
brings it all together in a 2 hour paddle on the Flat River. Class size
of 3-4 persons. Ages 10-13 yrs old.
Costs: $130 (includes boats and accessories)

Private Lessons
If you’re looking to fine tune your strokes, strengthen your
braces or learn that roll, we offer 2-hour private lessons by
appointment.
